These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our driving services website.
By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use InstructDirect UK if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions:
“Student,” “You,” and “Your” refer to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company,” “Ourselves,” “We,” “Our,” and “Us” refer to InstructDirect UK. “Party,” “Parties,” or “Us” refer to both the Student and ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance, and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Student in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Student’s needs in respect of the provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of United Kingdom. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization, and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to the same.
Practical Test Booking Terms and Conditions
Please be advised that once your test is booked, managing the appointment—including any necessary changes—will be the sole responsibility of the client.
Limited Booking Window:
When a suitable test becomes available within your requested timeframe, you’ll have a swift 10-minute window to confirm your booking. This ensures that tests are allocated promptly and fairly to all our clients.
Payment Deadline:
Once you’ve received your test booking confirmation email, you’ll have 10 – 30 minutes to make the payment (DVSA fee + finders fee). Failure to make this payment within the specified time frame will result in the cancellation of your test booking.
Test Availability:
While we strive to accommodate all our clients’ preferences, test availability is subject to DVSA scheduling and may vary based on demand and other factors beyond our control.
Test Booking Notice & Short Notice Test Policy
At InstructDirect UK, we can only book driving tests that are scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance in accordance with the new DVSA rules affective April 2025. Any test date that falls within 2 weeks of the booking date is considered a short notice test.
⚠ Short Notice Test Policy:
- Short notice tests cannot be swapped or cancelled once booked, as per DVSA regulations.
- For this reason, full payment is required upfront before we proceed with booking a short notice test.
- By agreeing to book a short notice test, you acknowledge that the test date is final and non-refundable, unless cancelled by the DVSA. Upon such event only the DVSA fee is refundable (only in the event that InstructDirect UK has received a refund from the DVSA)
If you prefer a test that can still be modified or cancelled, please ensure your preferred date is at least 2 weeks away at the time of booking.
Fair Usage:
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure fairness and efficiency in our booking process. Clients are encouraged to book tests promptly to secure their preferred slots.
Communication:
It’s essential to keep your contact details up to date to ensure timely notifications regarding test availability and booking status.
Action Required for DVSA Notifications:
To ensure you receive all necessary communications directly from the DVSA, we strongly recommend updating your email address on the DVSA’s official site at your earliest convenience. This step is crucial for staying informed about any updates or notifications regarding your test.
Test Swapping Service:
For clients wishing to swap their test to a different date, we offer a test swapping service for a administration fee. However, this will be based solely on the availability of test slots on the DVSA website. While we will do our best to accommodate your preferences, test availability is subject to DVSA scheduling.
Cancellation Policy:
If your test is cancelled by you (the customer) before the DVSA’s last cancellation date, which will be noted on your booking confirmation (after this date, cancellations are no longer eligible for a refund as per the DVSA’s policies) the following refunds apply:
£62 for weekday tests
£75 for weekend tests
Please note that administrative fees are non-refundable, as these cover the cost of securing your test slot through our system.
